Ikarus’s Flight
The starting point for this project was the “Ikarus’s Flight” cycle — 17 paintings I made between 2004 and 2006, each set to a Jacek Kaczmarski song.
For the project, I take photographs of these paintings and rework them digitally, to surface the emotions that came with listening to each song, and with translating it onto canvas.
I perform the songs together with Renata Birska during the show, as an inseparable part of the presentation.
