Manuscripts
The “Manuscripts” cycle consists of 12 works, painted in oils on canvas in the direction of lyrical abstraction.
Looking at paintings is, for me, like a journey to another world. The “Manuscripts” cycle is a door into a world full of emotion. We enter it through a dark city alley, above which the blue light of a street lamp flickers. The everyday silence — a colourless void — is filled with the singer’s hoarse voice and his guitar. We pass figures, human caricatures with faces twisted in a smile, in pain or in anger. Yet we walk on, letting the gestures on the canvas carry us away. One moment we sink into the depths, the next we rise above the earth and, from space, see what cannot be noticed from the ground. We see ourselves.
